EU LAW
A large proportion of the laws and regulations that are in force in Denmark originate in EU directives. Some of their provisions have been explicitly incorporated into Danish legislation, but there are also many EU regulations that must be observed regardless of adoption by the Folketing (the Danish parliament). In addition, the terms of EU treaties are also legally binding in all member states.
EU law affects an enormous range of activities previously regulated solely by Danish law. In particular, we can advise you on the implications for key matters such as:
- terms of employment
- corporate law
- taxes, including VAT.
The EU also grants agricultural subsidies in various areas, and LOU is happy to provide you with an overview of the possibilities.
